The Paris Accord as it came to be known commits countries to actions and policies that would restrict the rise in global temperatures well below 2 degrees Celsius (3.6 degrees Fahrenheit) by the year 2100. They would even endeavor to limit global warming to an even lesser to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The Accord goes on to acknowledge that the Industrial Revolution and consequential burning of coal and petroleum are prime causes of todays greenhouse gas issues and that the countries in Europe and North America that became rich in the process have an obligation to support developing countries to come up to reasonable levels of economic development without similar burning of fossil fuels. On 19 February 2021 the US officially rejoined the Paris Agreement Banking service chronicle buy.
