Competition refresher magazine published this article page 48 the indian space research organisation (isro) has announced that its chandrayaan-3 lunar mission will be launched in july 2023. the mission which is a follow-on to the chandrayaan-2 mission will consist of an indigenous lander module a propulsion module and a rover. the lander module will be responsible for landing the missions spacecraft on the lunar surface. the propulsion module will be used to maneuver the spacecraft in space and to transfer it from earth orbit to lunar orbit. the rover will be used to explore the lunar surface and to collect data. chandrayaan-3 is expected to land on the moons south pole which is a region that has not been explored by any previous mission. the missions goal is to study the geology and mineralogy of the lunar south pole as well as to search for water ice. the launch of chandrayaan-3 is a significant milestone for indias space program. the mission will demonstrate indias ability to land a spacecraft on the moon and to conduct scientific research on the lunar surface competition refresher magazine subscription.
